MORE THAN JUST MUSIC LESSONS

At Riff, music goes beyond the lesson room. Every student has opportunities to join bands, take the stage at local venues and open mics, and record in our professional recording studio. These aren’t your typical lesson recitals. They’re real music experiences built into the Riff curriculum.

Because learning music is more fun when there’s something to look forward to.

    FAQ

Questions About Music Lessons at Riff

    What instruments do you teach?

Piano, guitar, drums, voice, violin, viola, cello, bass, ukulele, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, mandolin, banjo, songwriting, music production, artist management and much more.

What age can my child start private lessons?

Most children are ready to start music lessons around age 4 or 5, but the best starting age can depend on the instrument and your child’s readiness. Things like attention span, hand size, finger strength and dexterity, and even lung development for certain instruments can all play a role. We’ll help you find the right instrument and teacher for your child. Not sure if they’re ready? A free trial lesson is the easiest way to find out.

How does the free first lesson work?

Your first lesson is completely free with no commitment or pressure to enroll. Your child will meet their teacher, experience a real lesson, and get a feel for Riff. Afterward, if it feels like a great fit, we’ll help you choose a weekly lesson time and get started.

Do I need an instrument at home?

Having your own instrument isn’t required to get started. We have loaner instruments available while your child gives music a try and sees if it’s a good fit. When the time is right, their teacher can help you choose the right instrument for practicing at home.

    Do you offer sibling discounts?

You bet! Each additional student in the same family receives 10% off their lessons.

    How do reschedules work?

We make rescheduling as easy and flexible as possible. Just give us at least 24 hours’ notice and you’ll receive a reschedule credit good for 45 days. Choose any convenient day or time during that window, or use your credit to try a different teacher, explore another instrument, or even let another family member take a lesson!

    Is there a contract?

No contracts and no hidden fees. Lessons are simply month to month, giving your family the flexibility to continue for as long as Riff is the right fit.

Do you offer music lessons for adults?

Absolutely! About one-third of Riff students are adults. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or getting back into music after years away, we welcome students of all ages and skill levels.

    Ready to try Riff?

Come experience Riff with a free first lesson. We’ll help match your child with the right teacher, let them experience a real lesson, and answer any questions you have. There’s no commitment and no pressure to enroll.

And as a Colorado Mama Life family, you’ll also receive a $20 credit toward your first month if you decide to continue. USE PROMO CODE: RIFFMAMA.
